How to Make Gluten Free Mini Corn Dogs
Now that you have your ingredients ready, it’s time to start cooking! Follow these instructions to make your own gluten free mini corn dogs for your next party.

Start by combining the gluten free flour, gluten free cornmeal, baking powder, salt, and sugar in a medium bowl. Whisk together the dry ingredients until they’re well combined and there are no lumps.

When you have all the dry ingredients mixed well, add the honey, egg, milk, and vegetable oil to the bowl. Stir to mix the ingredients together until a smooth batter forms, making sure not to over-mix the ingredients.

Grease a mini muffin pan with nonstick cooking spray and spoon the batter into each cup. Fill each cup around halfway full of batter to leave room for the hot dog pieces.

Cut the hot dogs into four equal pieces. I used Nathan’s Famous bun length hot dogs for my mini muffins.
Lightly press the hot dogs into the batter so each piece is fully surrounded by cornbread.

Bake the mini corn dog muffins in the oven for 20 to 25 minutes, until the cornbread is golden brown. Allow the muffins to cool in the pan for around five minutes before serving.

- Make full sized muffins. This recipe will also make 12 full sized muffins. If you’re making larger muffins, you’ll also need larger pieces of hot dog. You could probably cut the hot dog into thirds and place each piece (or 2 pieces) in each muffin cup. When increasing the size of your muffins, you’ll also need to increase the cook time. Bake each full sized muffin for around 30 minutes.

These quick and easy baked gluten free mini corn dogs are the perfect snack for lunch or a party!
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup gluten free cornmeal
- 1 cup gluten free flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 6 hot dogs, cut into four pieces
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and grease a mini muffin pan with nonstick cooking spray.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the gluten free cornmeal, gluten free flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
- Add the honey, egg, milk, and vegetable oil and stir to mix.
- Fill each muffin cup halfway full of batter.
- Press one piece of hot dog into each muffin.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes.
- Allow to cool in the pan for 5 minutes before serving.
